At Madsen, the setting is all part of the dining experience. With a modern, Scandinavian-brasserie feel, pale wooden floors combine with white walls and white Corian bar. A red bench runs the length of one wall. The clean, fresh lines carry through to the wooden tables, each one of them made to order. And what better to illuminate things than a classic of modern Danish interior design – legendary PH5 lamps by Poul Henningsen. The exterior terrace is in slate tile, set off with simple box plants.
